Greece Harmonizes Tax Rate for Gaming Sectors


Thanks to an agreement reached by the European Commission and the Greek Finance Ministry, the state-owned betting agency OPAP will apply a flat online and slot machine player winnings tax of 10 percent.

The decision will enter into force on January 1, 2013, bringing the country&s tax system closer to fulfilling online operators& desire to level the tax levied on online and slot machine player winnings.
