Online Gambling – Dangerous For Koreans In The Philippines

Seven Koreans were arrested this week in the Philippines on charges of violating the anti-gambling laws by operating an illegal online gambling facility inside a condominium building in Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
Ricardo David, Bureau of Immigration Commissioner, said that the suspects identified as Hoon Hwong, Yong Yeom Kim, Sung Hoonyoun, Hyeok Choi, Yong Beom Cho, Jin Dong Kim, and Jun Min Heok are all detained at the Immigration Jail in Bicutan, Parañaque City while undergoing preliminary investigation.
However, Koreans have been previously detained by police in the region on charges of facilitating online gambling, and in this case facing deportation after their criminal sentences have been served.
